Transient Aquaponic Trailer

This project will create a model for demonstrational education. Locations will include different demographics: the college and the artesian well.
With both a transient community and highly mobile workforce, the need for a realiable and sustained implement for food or medicinal herbs.
Aquaponics is the combination of aquaculture and hydroponics, where the fish emulsion water solution is pumped to the plants. A nitrification process enables nutrients to feed the plants, while the water is filtered via the roots and cycled to the fish resivior by a bell siphon- creating a flood and drain system with passive energy.
For demonstration purposes, the trailer will have a solar panel system for the aerator pump.
Another element will substitue edible food plants with medicinal herb platns that can be found in the wild.
This will include mushroom blocks as a major component. A clean room lab and innoculation chamber will be constructed to supply substrate.
This gives multiple facets of knowledge to the project.
