Ulysses conducted further investigation regarding local area non-profits who are contributing to sustainable community development. He met with Earth Economics representatives about their work on valuating and assessing environments to show the economic values of ecosystems in their ability to provide tangible and measurable value in today’s capitalistic economy. He also interviewed a Wayne Williams a representative of Metro Parks who is interested in seeing how the Parks contribute to functioning ecosystems in cities and urban corridors. Ulysses also participated in the Eastside Neighborhood Advisory Council of Tacoma as a board member to seek the cities interest on developing an alternative neighborhood farmers market.
