David Sears

I was and congenitally remain a journalist, though I don't practice anymore and have no plans to return to the trade. I wrote and photographed for magazines, newspapers and news agencies based mainly in Europe, and began my career reporting for Alaska public radio; I also have experience in video and digital-based production. For several years I plied journalism/production skills as a communications consultant to UN agencies in Ethiopia, and afterward returned to my home in Denmark and opened the first company in the history of coffee to import beans roasted in the land where grown, thereby returning a goodly portion of product value to private producers in the 6th-poorest nation on the planet: disruption theory in practice. (Note: Were I a better businessman you would not be reading this!) Father of daughters.
