Public Knowledge

Organization's slogan:
Promoting a Creative & Connected Future

Public Knowledge is a US based non-profit working at the intersection of copyright, telecommunications, and Internet policy. Public Knowledge's expertise in all three areas enables it to advocate and educate policy makers, the public, and the press on policies that serve the public's best interest.

Public Knowledge works to ensure:

-Universal access to affordable and open Internet and phone networks

-Promote balanced copyright and oppose policies that would shrink the public domain or limit fair use

-Protect digital consumer rights and oppose policies that would impede innovation.

Public Knowledge also operates PK Thinks, which works to educate policymakers and the public using plain-language analysis, white papers, and videos.
